August Alsina returned from his hiatus earlier today with the release of his new single “Drugs,” and it turns out that it’s actually the title track to his forthcoming album. No, they didn’t fight! Adekunle Gold has confirmed to Planet TV that he is no longer under YBNL record label, because his two-year contract has expired. According to the singer, contracts are not renewed in YBNL. He said; “My contract has expired and that’s it. In YBNL you don’t renew contract. Olamide signed us for two years, so that by yourself, you can hustle and make things happen. I don’t have my record label now, so I’ m on my own for now… I don’t know about record label and I don’t have the vision to have one now.”

Just because the summer is ending, however, doesn’t mean those songs should fall off your playlist. One track in particular, ‘Closer’ by The Chainsmokers, is worth keeping in one’s rotation. The dynamic track was one of the most infectious releases of the summer. The Chainsmokers are an American DJ duo that consists of Andrew Taggart and Alex Pall. For this single, they collaborated with Ashley Frangipane, better known as Halsey , an electropop vocalist that has exploded into the music industry over the last year.
